Kinglake is located 60 kilometres to the north east of Melbourne. The Bowden Spur Mountain Bike Area is currently a DH style track but will end up with a number of trails when completed. It is located on a powerline easement just above Strathewen. The first trail opened in June 2012 and a further trail is now under construction. Below is some footage from Vimeo of the trail after opening which gives a good idea of what it is like. The first trail drops 230m in 2km and is of a DH style of track.
