Bright is located 320 kilometres to the north east of Melbourne. It's a great place to stay and not just for the mountain biking. There are ski fields close by, wineries, breweries, great food and further mountain biking close by such as at Hotham, Mt Beauty, Falls Creek and Beechworth.
In the immediate vicinity of town, there is a great little trail along Morses Creek and some great tracks at Mystics just to the south of Bright which have some plummeting drops at the top for downhillers which then gradually get tamer as they go down the mountain to be become AM and XC trails ultimately.
| Morses Creek Trail (Bancoora) | Also known as "River Runs Through It Trail" - a great little free flowing run along the edges of Morses Creek |

| Mystics (Bancoora) | A grab back of trails immediately south of Bright descending from Mystics paragliding area down to the southern edge of town through the pine plantations. |
| Ride High Country Website | Ride High Country website has a good round up of trails in the area |
| Visit Bright Website | Details for the Mystic MTB Park and map sources |
| Cyclepath Website | Some ideas from cyclepath.com.au website |
| Map Of Trails In The Area | Good map showing trails from XC Trails website - click on the MTB option under Trails/POIs in top right hand corner. (Note: this is an extremely slow website to load but worth the effort if you can get it to work. Suggest you open in a new tab and come back to it in a while.) |
