The Blackwood East trails are located in steep gorge country and are fairly limited in number as the area to south of the river is now a conservation area with a lot of the former 4WD trails now closed. The trails listed here are located along the river and to the north of the conservation area.
The area has quite a bit of mining history though the area wasn't as heavily mined for gold as was the western side of Blackwood. Tunnel Point is well worth a visit being the location of a tunnel built ot divert the river to allow alluvial mining to be undertaken in the drained river bed.
Amblers Lane | One of the 4WD tracks to the north of the river that has been maintained maiking for a quick run down into the gorge over a nice washed out piece of track. |

Byers Back Track | A ride along the gorge taking in gorge views and a bit of the mining history of the area. |
Haydens Track | A ride which takes you up onto the range before heading down on a steep trail into the gorge. Trail into the gorge can largely be ridden. |
Tunnel Point Track | A ride which takes you up onto the range before heading down on a steep trail into the gorge. Some hike-a-bike involved. Get to see the old rush heritage of the diversion tunnel as well. |
