Trail notes from the trailhead state:

"This shared pedestrian path offers the option of creating a circuit using the Limestone Box Forest Trail and the Gippsland Lakes Discovery Trail (GLDT). Start at the eastern end of the Forestech car park. Follow the gravel surfaced Limestone Box Forest Trail downhill into the forest for 1.5 kilometres until the trail marker sign indicates the bush path to the right. Follow this 300m to Armstrongs Track, cross over and continue through the bush another 1.3 kilometres until reaching the Gippsland Lakes Discovery Trail (GLDT). Turn left (north west).
